NanaReefer:
Looking for your opinion on an LED fixture that would work for my 26g mixed reef. I know nothing about LEDs and am actually scared to use them. But following you around has helped ease some of this fear. Please if you could just point me in the right direction an ill do the rest
Thank you.
Marine Engineers:
I’m glad I’ve helped you out. The honest truth is, im yet to see an LED unit that didn’t perform well. Everything I’ve tested is amazing, so you shouldn’t be worried about jumping in. What kind of price range are you looking at?
NanaReefer:
No more then $350-my t5ho’s will be about a year old by time I’m ready to jump in so hopefully I can make a little $$ back on selling them
I really like my t5s but I’m just tired of my corals not looking as good as they do in the pics-know what I mean? Thanks again for taking the time that you do to share your knowledge with the rest of us.
You are personally responsible for me registering on Twitter-LOL Yup did it last night just so I could follow you. Funny or what?
Marine Engineers:
You can do a lot for $350 over that size tank. Here’s a few that should fit the bill well:Ecoxotic Panorama LED Retrofit 2
A couple of these would also work well Panorama Pro LED ModuleMy personal favorite option would be a AI Nano
A couple of these would be a really good option as well IM 8 watt SKYYEAnd of course you could always go with a pair of PAR30 or PAR38 bulbs from a range of companies like BoostLED, Orphek, OCReef, Ecoxotic and the list goes on.
If you wanted more details on any of these let me know.
