Ctenochaetus strigosus

Size: 7 inches

Minimum tank size: 70 gallons

Reef safe: Yes

Diet: vegetarian

Temperament: Not usually aggressive towards other fish, but intolerant of its own kind. Should not be mixed with tangs of the bristletooth family.

General: Kole tangs are one of the hardest working and therefore best options for fighting nuisance algae. They should be kept in aquariums that are well stocked with live rock to give them plenty of grazing opportunities. Like other members of the tang group, they should be given plenty of vegetable matter to keep them bright and healthy.
