The Basics to Moving an Aquarium


One of the more often repeated questions, and one with one of the more lengthier answers, goes something like:

“I’m moving my saltwater tank to a new apartment/house/dorm, what do I need to do?”

For the purposes of this article I’ll focus on relatively short distance moves of less than an hour or two as those are the most common for moving a tank. Aquapparel Teams Up With Coral Restoration Foundation

If you’re like me, than 90% of your wardrobe is made up of reef aquarium related T-shirts, and your always on the lookout for more. Recently a company called Aquapparel was brought to attention, and though not all of their shirts are aquarium related, their message is. For every item sold at Aquapparel, $1 is donated to help the Coral Conservation Fund. Their site may not be packed full of reef aquarium shirts, but a couple of them did catch my eye including their “Eat, Sleep, Tank” shirt and “Kiss my wrasse” shirt.
