JBJ Adds More Sizes to Their LED Equipped Nano Tank Line

All-in-one nano tanks, with rimless styling and clip on LED lights are popping up like crazy, but this leaves some hobbyists missing the styling of the old cubes and their built-in hoods. JBJ seems to be aiming at this crowd by upping their line of old style nano tanks with new tech LED lighting built-in.

The Cadillac of Cubes

Chris Ticcioni’s Biocube is one that demands to be looked at. The term “Biocube” should be used loosely when describing this tank however, the only true Biocube part remaining is the glass and the plastic skin surrounding it. His technology addiction and love for reefing have combined to create this borderline robotic aquarium. Chris has spared no expense on equipment with this build. He has everything from an Apex controller that runs his entire system, to a Vortec MP10, to full spectrum DIY LEDs nestled neatly in his stock hood. Yet, from a first glance his system looks like a stock Biocube (besides the gorgeous lighting of course.) How has he done this with such a small system to work with? Aqua Medic Announces Kauderni All-In-One Reef Aquarium

Aqua Medic announced today that it will be continuing the all-in-one tank line that started with the Yasha and Blenny nano systems with, a much larger, Kauderni named after the cardinal pterapogon kauderni. This new system will be shooting at a larger tank hobbyist crowd with its 70 gallon volume, but it will still retain many of the high-end features that made the previous systems popular.

For all corals, but most importantly for small polyp stony (SPS) corals, there are three main points to successful growth: water quality, water movement, and lighting. These are key elements to keeping a beautiful, healthy reef aquarium. The purpose of this article is to inform new hobbyists and further educate aquarium enthusiasts about the use of point-source lighting within the hobby of reef aquaria.
