Late last night BAYMAC, the Bay Area Marine Aquarium Conference, announced that, due to the loss of their host, 2011 would be their last year. This comes as a shock after they put on only four events and already gained some huge numbers and tons of respect from the community nationwide. BAYMAC was always held in California which is of course a hotspot for the reef aquarium industry, so awesome sponsors and exhibits came naturally to them. Unfortunately, I never made it to one of their events and by the looks of it, I will never get that honor.
