Have you ever wanted to take an ordinary household item and turn it in to a reef aquarium? That’s exactly what drove the construction of this amazing Xbox 360 pico reef tank by Blue World Aquariums, and it looks like they knocked it out of the park. Before you get too worried about electrical problems, no, this Xbox is not fully functional. Follow along after the break for more pictures and details about the inner workings of this amazing little tank.
Unfortunately this Xbox tank couldn’t be completed while keeping it functional, but it is still amazing. Hopefully this trend will continue and in the future we will see one that is still operational and uses the tank filtration as liquid cooling for the Xbox CPU. As for this amazing little tank, water is contained within a custom glass insert that holds .45 gallons. Filtration is supplied by an external canister filter which contains the live rock that couldn’t be fit in the display. Corals, which I must add were perfectly selected, are attached by epoxy to an acrylic slide in insert. Stocking is not limited to just corals though with some interesting micro-inverts included. If this tank is any indication of Blue World Aquariums skill, they are going to be a company to watch!
